Andy Serkis In Talks to Play Alfred Pennyworth in Matt Reeves’ ‘The Batman’

According to TheWrap "Andy Serkis is in talks to play Alfred Pennyworth in Matt Reeves’ 'The Batman.'" This information comes from an individual with knowledge of the project that exclusively told TheWrap themselves. If this is to be true, Serkis would be coming on board to an already stellar cast which includes the likes of Robert Pattinson as Batman, Zoe Kravitz as Catwoman and Paul Dano is as the Riddler, with rumors of Collin Farrell playing The Penguin.

Matt Reeves and Andy Serkis have worked previously together on the last two "Planet of the Apes" movies, where Serkis played the highly praised character of Ceaser for Reeves at the directing helm. Both films gained high critical success with Dawn of the Planet of the Apes scoring a 91% on Rotten Tomatoes and War of the Planet of the Apes scoring a 94%

"The Batman" will be hitting theaters on June 25, 2021.
